Oil Spill on Accra–Tema Corridor Causes Three Accidents; Drivers Urged to Exercise Caution

An oil spill along the Accra–Tema corridor, from the Accra Mall stretch towards Tema, has led to at least three accidents, sparking urgent safety alerts for motorists.

The spillage has left the road surface extremely slippery, creating heightened risks for drivers, particularly those in smaller vehicles and on motorbikes.

Authorities have been notified, and the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) is expected to take swift action to contain the situation. In the meantime, motorists using the route are strongly advised to reduce their speed and drive with utmost caution to prevent further crashes.
