GoldBod Jewellery Names Media Mogul Bola Ray, Actress Joselyn Dumas as Brand Ambassadors

GoldBod Jewellery, a subsidiary of the state-owned Ghana Gold Board, has appointed prominent broadcaster Kwabena Anokye Disi, popularly known as Bola Ray, and actress Joselyn Dumas as brand ambassadors, as part of an effort to elevate Ghana’s gold craftsmanship onto the global luxury stage.

The company said the partnership is central to a broader initiative to showcase Ghana’s heritage in ethical gold sourcing and refined jewellery production. By leveraging the profiles of two of the country’s most recognizable public figures, GoldBod aims to strengthen its brand identity and expand its appeal among both domestic and international consumers.

At an unveiling event in Accra, Chief Executive Officer Sammy Gyamfi described the appointments as “a landmark initiative” to highlight Ghanaian innovation in luxury design.

“Bola Ray and Joselyn Dumas embody excellence, authenticity, and sophistication — the core values of the GoldBod Jewellery brand,” Mr. Gyamfi said. “Their appointment marks a significant milestone in our mission to add local value to Ghana’s gold resources and redefine our position in the luxury market.”

The move aligns with President Mahama’s vision of positioning Ghana as Africa’s leading hub for authentic gold jewellery and ornaments.

Under their new roles, Bola Ray and Dumas will lead GoldBod’s media campaigns, public engagements, and promotional events for upcoming collections, which include fine gold and diamond pieces, bespoke ornaments, and other luxury accessories.

GoldBod’s strategy underscores a growing national push to capture greater value from the country’s gold industry, which remains a key pillar of Ghana’s economy and a major source of export revenue.
