Madina Redco Slum to Be Redeveloped for Business and Safety – MCE

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for La Nkwantanang-Madina, Ibrahim Faila Fuseini, has announced plans to redevelop the Madina Redco slum into a safer and better-structured community that will support both residential living and business activities.

His assurance comes after the Assembly carried out the demolition of rebuilt structures and shops in the enclave.

Addressing the media, the MCE emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to transforming the area into a well-planned space that enhances safety while promoting commercial growth.

“Currently, the government is in discussions with the Assembly. We are exploring projects that will be beneficial to the community. As we pursue the 24-hour economy and market initiatives, our goal is to create more jobs for the youth in the community, rather than allowing the place to be used for drug peddling,” he said.
