The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has begun investigations into a fire outbreak at Klu Town, opposite the EP Church in Koforidua, on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Firefighters, led by ADO I Sagoe, responded to a distress call around 5:30 a.m. and arrived at the scene within five minutes. By then, the fire had already consumed three wooden structures, a metal container, and several valuable items.
The crew managed to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to adjoining buildings. The fire was brought under control at 6:58 a.m. and fully extinguished by 8:04 a.m. No casualties were recorded.
The GNFS said its swift intervention salvaged nearby properties and assured the public that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the outbreak.
