Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has described the “This is Ghana Exhibition” as a powerful platform for promoting local businesses and celebrating the country’s cultural heritage.
She made the remarks at the opening of the two-day fair at the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra, which brings together entrepreneurs, artisans, SMEs, and corporate brands to showcase authentic Ghanaian products and services.
This year’s exhibition places strong emphasis on innovation, creativity, sustainability, and the promotion of Made-in-Ghana goods to both domestic and international markets.
Madam Gomashie also commended Channel One TV and Citi FM for their consistent efforts in spotlighting Ghana’s culture and tourism potential.
“From the programmes that you do, to the music, the food, the festivals, and even the celebration of Ghana Month, you have set the pace for years. So when I heard about this event, I just had to come,” she said.
She explained that although she had earlier represented President John Dramani Mahama at the Homowo festival in Ningo-Prampram, she felt compelled to attend the exhibition’s opening to lend her support.
“In this industry, the public creates the environment and the private sector drives it. Because you drive it and make my work easy, I had to come here and applaud you,” she added.
