Family Calls for Justice Following Brutal Killing of Okada Rider in Kwabenya

The family of an okada rider who was brutally killed at Kwabenya Comet in Accra is demanding justice. The victim was discovered on September 6 with his throat slit, in what residents describe as yet another shocking act of violence in the area.

Relatives of the deceased, speaking to Citi News’ Fauzu Masawudu, urged the government to intervene. “We’re appealing to the government to ensure justice is served,” one family member said.

The gruesome murder has revived painful memories for the community, coming just months after immigration officer Stephen Amoah was killed under similar circumstances in the same area. Residents say the recurring violent crimes have left them living in fear and are calling on the police to act swiftly to restore security.

Police say investigations are underway, but no arrests have yet been made.
