A wave of grief has swept through Tamale Central in the Northern Region following the tragic death of their Member of Parliament and Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, in a military helicopter crash on Wednesday.
Dr. Murtala, celebrated for his unwavering commitment and transformative leadership, perished alongside seven others when a Ghana Armed Forces Z-9 helicopter went down in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region en route to Obuasi.
His sudden passing has left Tamale Central devastated. Many residents are struggling to come to terms with the loss of a man they viewed not just as a representative, but as a pillar of hope and progress.
