Ghana’s anti-corruption agency has named Paul Adom-Otchere, the former Board Chairman of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), as a suspect in a widening investigation into alleged financial improprieties tied to a revenue assurance contract.
In a letter dated July 25, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) said it is examining possible irregularities in a deal between the state-run airport operator and an undisclosed private company. The probe focuses on how airport revenues were handled and whether the agreement violated financial or procurement laws.
Mr. Adom-Otchere, a prominent media personality and public figure, has been directed to appear before OSP investigators on Thursday, July 31, at the agency’s South Ridge offices in Accra. Authorities are seeking clarity on his role in the approval and execution of the contract during his tenure on the GACL board.
The investigation underscores the OSP’s broader efforts to scrutinize public-private financial arrangements within key state enterprises. No charges have been filed as of press time, and Mr. Adom-Otchere has not publicly commented on the summons.
