Man Arrested for Threatening Afenyo-Markin, Two Others in Viral Video

The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested a man, identified as Alhaji Abdul Wahab, over a viral video in which he allegedly issued death threats against the Minority Leader of Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, and two others.

In a statement released on Monday, September 15, 2025, police said the suspect was arrested in Koforidua. He has since been cautioned, granted bail, and is expected to report to the Regional Police Headquarters in Kyebi the same day to assist further with investigations.

The statement, signed by DSP David Fianko-Okyere of the Public Affairs Unit, assured the public of a fair and transparent investigation and pledged to provide timely updates as the case develops.
