Mahama Set to Face the Media Tonight in First Major Briefing of Second Term

President John Dramani Mahama will break his silence on key national issues tonight as he hosts his first Presidential Media Encounter since winning re-election. The highly anticipated event is scheduled for 8 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

The announcement was shared on Tuesday via Facebook by Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who reminded Ghanaians to tune in.

This media interaction marks a significant moment in Mahama’s second term, as he is expected to outline the progress of his “Resetting Ghana Agenda” and update the public on major government policies and projects.

According to an earlier statement from the Ministry of Government Communications, the event is designed to “provide a unique platform” for the president to connect with citizens through the media and address pressing concerns.

Journalists will also get the rare opportunity to pose questions directly to the president. Access to the event is strictly limited to accredited members of the media.
