The Ministry of Finance is calling on the public to contribute ideas for Ghana’s 2026–2029 Budget Statement and Economic Policy.
In a statement, the Ministry thanked business associations, professional bodies, financial institutions, civil society organisations, faith-based groups, and the general public for their consistent input into previous national budgets.
Preparations for the new four-year budget and economic policy are already underway, with the final document expected to be presented to Parliament by November 15, 2025.
The Ministry is therefore inviting suggestions from citizens for inclusion in the drafting process.
This initiative, it says, reflects the government’s commitment to addressing citizens’ needs, promoting active participation in budget planning, and advancing inclusive policy implementation.
Proposals should be submitted electronically to bdru@mofep.gov.gh no later than Friday, August 29, 2025.
