Parliament Set to Reconvene on October 21

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has declared that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will officially reopen on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

A statement released by the Office of the Speaker and signed by Speaker Bagbin indicated that proceedings will commence at 2:00 p.m. at Parliament House in Accra.

The announcement, made in line with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, formally notifies Members of Parliament of the new date for the continuation of legislative activities.

This update comes after an earlier communication issued on October 6, 2025, which postponed the original reopening date.

When Parliament resumes, lawmakers will return from recess to address a range of critical national issues, including the consideration of pending bills, debates on motions, and the review of key government policy proposals aimed at advancing national development.
