The National Service Authority (NSA) has scrapped all online registrations conducted in June for the upcoming 2025/2026 service year, citing data integrity failures uncovered in a government-commissioned audit. A new registration window will run from October 8 to October 15, the agency announced Monday.
The move follows a directive from President John Dramani Mahama after a forensic and technical audit of the Central Service Management Platform (CSMP) found it unfit for purpose. The investigation flagged significant system flaws, including age discrepancies and data mismatches, prompting the administration to overhaul the digital infrastructure used for onboarding service personnel.
“All previous registrations from June 2025 have been declared null and void,” the NSA said in a statement. “Every prospective service personnel must re-register on the new platform.”
The Authority pledged that all verified applicants from the June intake would receive full refunds of their service fees. The revamped system, set to go live at www.gnsa.gov.gh on October 7, will include step-by-step registration instructions.
The new platform is part of a broader slate of IT reforms aimed at bolstering transparency and reducing payroll-related fraud in the national service scheme. The NSA said it is working in close coordination with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to improve financial oversight, including regular efficiency audits and enhanced internal controls.
Service personnel are expected to report to their assigned posts on Saturday, November 1, with the official start of the service year scheduled for Monday, November 3.
The National Service program, a mandatory one-year deployment for Ghanaian graduates, is designed to support public and private sector capacity while providing young professionals with early-career experience.
