NADMO Staff Found Dead in Stream at Kwabre East

A staff member of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) at the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly has been found dead in a stream between Abira and Krobo in the Ashanti Region.

The deceased, identified as 60-year-old Thomas Obeng, was reportedly recovering from an illness. He had travelled from Abira to visit his wife in Krobo but failed to return home as expected. Although he informed his wife that he was heading back, his whereabouts remained unknown until his body was discovered in the stream on Thursday, September 11.

The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear. Police have conveyed the body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for preservation and further investigations.

Assembly Member for the Abira Electoral Area, Isaac Owusu Bempah, confirmed the incident.
