Mahama to Launch “Big Push” Infrastructure Programme Today

President John Dramani Mahama will today, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, officially launch his government’s flagship infrastructure initiative, the Big Push Programme, at Afienya in the Greater Accra Region.

The programme, a key pillar of President Mahama’s long-term vision to modernise Ghana’s infrastructure, will commence with the road sector.

The launch, scheduled for 12:00 noon, will feature a sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of the Dawhenya–Afienya–Dodowa road, a project aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity in the area.

Government says the Big Push is designed to deliver transformative projects that will stimulate economic growth while improving the quality of life for citizens across the country.
