Hasaacas Ladies Football Club CEO, Evelyn Nsiah Asare Owusu, has called on Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team, the Black Queens, to beat South Africa to clinch the bronze medal in this year’s CAF Women’s AFCON.
Ghana takes on South Africa in the third placed game on Friday, July 25 at 19:00 GMT with the chance for the Black Queens to win their first medal in the competition since 2016 on the line.
The teams faced off in the opening round of games in the tournament that is taking place in Morocco and South Africa ended up winning 2-0.
However, after suffering heartbreaks in their semifinal outings, the teams are eyeing a consolation medal but Nsiah Asare Owusu believes this is the time for the Black Queens to get revenge.
“I feel that we have to be third. We should beat South Africa we have to go for revenge” the veteran football administrator said in an exclusive interview on Channel One TV’s Football Made in Ghana.
