Former Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo has visited the home of late highlife legend Daddy Lumba to offer his condolences and sign the book of condolence opened in the singer’s honour.
Dressed in black, the former president was welcomed by family members, chief mourners, and supporters gathered at the residence. He observed a brief moment of silence before leaving a message in the condolence book—a gesture marking the start of a series of high-profile visits expected throughout the day.
The visit follows a wave of tributes across the country after the musician’s death on 26 July at the Bank Hospital in Accra.
Earlier, Members of Parliament and officials from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were seen at the residence paying their respects.
Fans, fellow musicians, and well-wishers continue to gather at the home of the late artist, celebrating the legacy of a man widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most influential cultural figures.
